How do different time zones work with VRI jobs?

  • Not to worry, this won’t require much effort on your end! The timezones will automatically update based on your current physical address listed in your Linguabee account. 
  • Please double confirm that the timezone set in your account matches your current timezone:
    • Login > Settings > Account > Select timezone 
  • If traveling or moving across time zone lines, we would strongly recommend updating your time zone within your Linguabee account:
    • Login > Settings > Account > Select new timezone
  • When interpreting in a different time zone than your current time zone, the start and end times will be displayed in orange - which can be clicked on and it will display the actual times of the location of the job taking place.
  • How would the billing work in terms of rates and different time zones? Billing and rates (i.e. weekday, weeknight, overnight, etc) will follow based on the customers location and time of the request. For example: If a New York interpreter may be interpreting from 5-7p for a job in California occurring from 2-4p, the weekday rate would be applied.
