How do I receive a copy of my 1099 in the mail?

When are 1099 forms issued?

Businesses and institutions, including Linguabee, are required to send out 1099 forms to recipients by January 31st each year. This gives recipients enough time to file their taxes before the April 15th deadline.


I have not received a copy of my 1099 through Linguabee. What should I do?

There should be an electronic copy from Linguabee through Track1099, a third-party 1099 provider, that issues 1099s. Please contact Linguabee at support@linguabee.com if a 1099 hasn’t been received.

  • Prep and Travel Time: Yes, any prep and travel time billed as part of your service provision and paid by Linguabee is accounted for in nonemployee compensation on your 1099 form.
  • Stipends: Yes, any stipends paid by Linguabee to a service provider are included as nonemployee compensation on your 1099 form.
  • Reimbursements: No, any expenses you've submitted to Linguabee for reimbursement and which have been reimbursed are not included as nonemployee compensation on your 1099.
